Product Overview:
Nitromors fast-acting new formula paint and varnish remover is perfect for efficiently stripping layers of paint, varnish, and lacquer. The green-coloured gel is not only easy to see and apply but also provides superior coverage. Thanks to its slow evaporation, the need for re-application is significantly reduced. This new double-strength formula can strip up to twice the paint layers compared to other removers, making it ideal for use on wood, metal, and masonry. The non-drip gel is especially suitable for vertical surfaces.
What sets this product apart is its dichloromethane-free formula. Unlike traditional removers, this formula is less volatile and remains active longer, allowing it to be more effective. It’s water and solvent washable, making it suitable for removing multiple coats of paint, varnish, cellulose, polyurethane, emulsion, French polish, lacquer, and textured finishes from wood, metal, glass, or plaster.
Directions for Use:
- Dab on with a brush and allow it to blister; this will provide a key.
- After 10 minutes, apply a second liberal coat (2–3 mm) and leave for an additional 40 minutes. If the gel dries out, re-apply.
- Use a knife to test whether the paint has softened before using a scraper or shavehook to remove the paint or varnish.
- Once the paint is free from the surface, wash it down with detergent in water using a nylon scouring pad or clean it with white spirit and wire wool.
- Allow the surface to dry fully before finishing with an abrasive sandpaper or wire wool.
Coverage:
A 375ml tin will cover approximately 1 to 2 square metres, depending on the thickness and type of paint being removed.
Important Note:
Some paints, particularly certain wheel coatings, may not strip well. These may require abrasion or professional dipping for complete removal.
