- Montblanc has created a Special Edition of Great Characters paying tribute to “The Great Gatsby” inspired by this era and the novel. The design of the rollerball body reflects the facades of the Art Deco skyscrapers of New York, made with a special technique that evokes the night illumination of the city. The cap features a fluorescent emblem that glows in the dark, while the platinum clip takes the shape of a money clip and bears the initials of Jay Gatsby in a golden Art Deco monogram. The edition also includes references to the myth of the American dream and the Art Deco flask design, with a cone simulating a flask stopper and thin rings in the colors of the American flag.
