Using high-end raw materials and technology, we’ve come up with a lightweight paper (75 g.m-2) with greater thickness and stiffness than most standard weight papers (80 g.m-2) used in Europe. Discovery 75 uses 32% less wood for the same amount of paper when compared with a competitor 80 g.m-2, because it is produced from Eucalyptus globulus pulp.
If we use the same quantity of wood, we can produce 48% more paper. Since the year 2000 we have reduced energy consumption by 35%, water consumption by 45% and CO2 emissions from fossil fuel by 71%. The superior performance of Discovery 75 means 1200 pages/hour more, when compared with competitor 80 g.m-2 products (only 700 pages/hour), using the same 100 Ppm machine.
